Alma 32:41

...Nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.

Counting fingers and toes

Journaling reads: Kaden is so proud to be a big brother. He loves to hold Asher and count his fingers and toes and eyes and ears. He doesn't always get the numbers right. His favorite numbers to say are 6 and 14.

Li'l Buck's creations is offering blog candy! Go check her cards and scrapbook pages out! They are inspirational!

Announcement card

So I used the circled template from Fei-Fei's stuff. I love it. All I did was plop in a photo and add the stats. You can find it on Shaui's blog.

I love this photo because it looks like he is smiling- he is only about 6 hours old in this photo. I don't like all the clutter in the background though sooo... I may take another photo and use it instead...

Asher came early

The little man has arrived and I am now outnumbered 3 to 1! I grew up in a family of mostly girls so this is very different for me. Different and fun. I have 3 gentleman living with me si I feel blessed!

Asher Gage arrived in 4/14 at 4:18 am. He is a very mellow baby so far who mostly likes to sleep. He was 7 lbs 7 oz and 20.5 in long. His big brother seems to be adjusting well so far. I can't wait to find time to scrap the photos!

Wintry Wonders

I have had this kit (Wintry Wonders) for awhile from the awesome designer Karla Marano. I have been meaning to dig out old photos of my siblings and I growing up in the winters of Michigan. But I haven't gotten around to finding the cd and sticking it in my laptop... SO I decided to make this LO about what Winter is like here in SoCal. The Journaling reads: Winter in SoCal means putting on a sweatshirt at the beach. You may not know snow but you have been to the beach in all seasons. This winter was the first time you didn't want to go in the water- too cold. Kaden March 17, 2008

Oh and the Alpha I used is by Amy Collofello- Spaced Out kit. She competed in the Apprentice Challenge at Little Dreamer Designs.

I also made a new header for my blog! How do you like it? The background paper and ribbons are all from the Wintry Wonders kit as well. The alpha and other elements are from a CT appreciation kit that our CT received from numerous designers called Grateful 4 U. It is an amazing huge kit that I am excited to work with more.

i may or may not be on here a lot in the next few weeks. Baby Asher could come any day now. I am hoping for sooner rather than later as I want to see the little wigglers smile. :)

Menu Plan Monday!

What a slacker am I! Sorry that I have been neglecting my scrapping and this blog. I am less than two weeks from my due date and my energy is sapped. I want to make a new header for this blog. That will be my next scrapping project...when I get the energy and time. :) Anyway ... I made all of the meals on my list last week and made my husband very happy! I would make all of the recipes again especially the Chinese Chicken Salad. I guess the only change I would make is that I would use a different kind of dough - not crescent- for the roll-ups. Crescent rolls have a flavor we don't like as much. It's good with the chicken roll-ups but otherwise it's not our favorite. I might use pizza dough or more of a roll dough instead. So for this week...

Monday- Corned Beef Brisket, Mashed potatoes, Chicken Caesar salad I have never made Brisket or corned beef before sooooo.. we will see how it goes...
Tuesday- Corned Beef Noodle Casserole with Spinach and Cheese-
New recipe that I will try with leftovers
Wednesday- Bratwurst, salad, corn
Thursday- Barbecue Corned beef sandwiches, french fries, peas
Friday- Sweet and Sour Chicken, rice, Gyoza- I have a recipe for this if you want it... it's from the Help! My Apartment has a Kitchen! cookbook. It's a great cookbook for college students and for making meals for 2. I alter this recipe a fair amount - mainly increasing the amount of sauce and using chicken instead of pork. It's one of our family favorites though. Let me know if you want the recipe.
Sat- Eat out/make your own
Sunday- Leftovers?/ Broccoli Curry Chicken casserole
