Alma 32:41

...Nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.

Menu plan Monday!

I am going to change it to Menu plan tuesday because that is when the ads come out. This way I can more easily coordinate sales and coupons . I will do my grocery shopping onWednesday after music class with Kaden armed with coupons and the current sales. I will do my shopping at Ralph's because it is on the way home and they are the only store in town that does double coupons.

That being said I will be making up my menu this week based on what we have in the fridge. I may go and get some produce. A new grocery store opened last week called Fresh and Easy. It is supposed to be good for cooking for small families. It's supposed to be kind of a Whole Foods but less expensive. I have not been impressed with the produce at our Vons and Albertsons. I like Costco produce and it is usually cheaper or the same price as our non bulk grocery stores but we just can't eat that much produce and I hate to waste it. So I want to check out Fresh and Easy and see how Fresh and expensive it is. :) I may have gestational diabetes so I need to get some more veggies for us to eat anyway.

I won't post a menu this week- I will kind of play it by ear but we have plenty of easy stuff to make so I should be able to stick to my plan of minimal shopping and not eating out. I finally am feeling better and have more energy again! Woohoo! Feels good!

If I need ideas I will go to this website for recipes based on the ingredients I already have:

We have no grocery stores in town that do double coupons, stinks. Hope you don't have g-diabetes, that's hard.
PS I have some good news after all my thryoid probs. We're expecting and I'm 10 weeks...waiting 'til 12 to officially announce on my blog. I've had two ultrasounds and the babe is growing well. Take care and have a great week.
How far along are you again?

I posted the recipe for the Bacon-Chicken Crescent Ring on my MPM yesterday (you mentioned it in your comment on my site last week). Hope the new grocery store turns out to be a great place. Our town is lacking in "variety" in the grocery store area. We're getting a new one but it's still many months away.

I'm so sorry to hear about the g-diabetes. My sister had it twice and it seemed to really help her learn how to eat right. You probably already do, so maybe you won't have to change you diet too much. Does this mean you have the results from the 3 hour test?
I'm thrilled to hear you are feeling better though!
